Master Chief Not a Main Character in Halo Movie??

Bungie is usually pretty good with the formula “if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it”, but in a recent interview with Bungie’s writer director Joseph Staten he stated that in the most current script the Master Chief “star of the blockbuster game” is a supporting role to other characters. Staten described complications with having a main character who’s face you never see, although I felt it worked just fine in the game. Staten said: “Over time everyone around the table agreed that the Master Chief is best left as the most important supporting cast member.” As a huge fan of the Halo franchise, I hope this approach is changed, I feel Master Chief makes Halo what it is, and even with his mystery is the most interesting character in the series.
