March 27, 2008

speedracer-mar27-03.jpg

Another fresh package of images, this time being from what we think will be one of the summer’s biggest hits, Speed Racer. We can honestly tell our self that Speed Racer will be a blockbuster favorite because of what we seen so far, and a bonus that includes the magic touch of The Wachowski Brothers. Luckily our hands got some of the few new images, as well as some of the quotes, including detailed explanations behind the visual style straight from multiple visual effects supervisors.

First Look At Ray Park As Snake Eye

March 21, 2008

Paramount Pictures has released the firsts photos of Snake Eye from the upcoming film G.I Joe. My opinion is that the costume seems pretty much too CGI, but still looks great and i believe the Snake Eyes will be amazing in the movie. In a USA Today article, director Stephen Sommers talks about Snake Eye and says “He’s the world’s greatest ninja, but he’s also next-generation. He’s not afraid to use a sword one second, and a split-second later he’s pulling out his Glock.”

Millar, who is the writer of comic book ‘Wanted’, that will hit theaters this summer by Universal Pictures. ‘Kick Ass’ is barely on its second issue but it is reported that Vaughn and his partner Jane Goldman are hard at work on the script. ‘Kick Ass’ follows a story of a teenager living in the real world who decides to become a superhero, idolizing Batman, Superman, and Spiderman etc. Vaughn was also selected to direct another comic book adaptation ‘Thor’ for Paramount. The project is yet to be announced so who knows when the project will begin filming.

“Metal Gear Solid” Movie on the Way?

March 13, 2008

Comingsoon.net caught up with 21 producer Michael De Luca at Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Casino, and he is apparently interested in bringing Solid Snake to the big screen. When Equilibrium was released, fans were interested in having the director of the film (Kurt Wimmer) helm an MGS film. De Luca says he hopes to meet with Wimmer within a few weeks about writing a script and possibly directing the adaptation. It seems weird that they are approaching someone other than Hideo Kojima (director of the Game) who is the reason why the game is so successful in the first place. We will keep you posted on this project.
