David Yates To End Harry Potter Franchise?

March 10, 2008

yates.jpgThere’s been rumors that David Yates might direct the last film of the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise. Yesterday at the Sony Ericsson Awards, Yates said

“We’re talking about it everyday” and “But I can’t really say right now. I’m tempted, certainly”.

Most likely I believe that David Yates might be the one concluding the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise.

Sigourney Weaver spoke with MTV about her character in James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’. Here’s a clip of what she had to say: “It’s a big secret,” Weaver teased of the character she plays. “Jim wrote such a terrific part for me, and it has a lot of different aspects, [but] it reminded me of him, actually – very driven and very idealistic. So it was a lot of fun.” She also says she is done with filming, although the film won’t be in theaters for another two years because of the huge efforts by Cameron to make the final project like “something you’ve never imagined”.

‘Jumper’ review

February 19, 2008

jumper.gif

‘Jumper’ is a film about a young man who holds the ability to teleport and discovers he is not the only one with this power. Although there is supposedly a war going on between these (jumpers) and a very unexplained agency who’s sole purpose in life is to kill them, there are only two jumpers in the movie, three if you count one who has a 10 second scene. The main charater David Rice meets another jumper named Griffin, what seemed awfully strange was that Griffin criticized David for using his powers for fun when he was doing the exact same thing throughout the film. This movie had no real story, many pointless relationships, and completely relied on the abilities of these people. Repetitive would be a very good word to describe this film, teleportation is a concept that gets real old by the first 10 minutes. If you’ve seen the trailer, you’ve basically seen the movie, it has nothing else to offer.
