March 26, 2008

Summit Entertainment has put the sci-fi thriller Countdown into production. Countdown is based on a classic episode of The Twilight Zone titled Death Trip, by Richard Matheson.

Michael Brandt was chosen to direct Countdown, Countdown being his directorial debut. According to Summit production chief Erik Feig, Michael Brandt was the choice to go with because he outfits larger interest in supporting new talent. Brandt is in the processes of rewriting the screenplay along with Derek Hass, whom both were involved in the films 3:10 to Yuma and 2 Fast 2 Furious, and they also wrote the screenplay to the upcoming adaption Wanted from Universal.

Death Trip revolves around a group of astronauts who land on a planet only to find a crashed spaceship and corpses that frighteningly resemble their own. They then must piece together where they are and whether they might in fact already be dead.

Eddie Murphy’s New Mess

March 25, 2008

Meet Dave everyone, Eddie Murphy’s next big mess following up Norbit. Directed by Brian Robbins (Ready to Rumble, The Shaggy Dog, Norbit), Meet Dave stars Eddie Murphy as an alien spaceship in human form. Crews of 100 aliens are trying to save their planet, but encounter a new problem as their ship becomes attracted to an Earth woman (played by Elizabeth Banks). Sounds horrible… maybe Eddie Murphy will finally receive a Raspberry Award for worst movie and/or worst actor. View at your own risk on Yahoo.

Great Looking “Dragonball” Image

We have a great looking image for all Dragonball fans. The image was taken from one of the film sets in Mexico City. At the moment, we are not sure who is involved or what it is. It’s a pretty interesting looking image, and my thoughts on the image is it’s either the creation after one of Goku’s Kama-Kama Blasts or maybe, its a volcano and there’s a fight above it. Post your thoughts. Dragonball is a 20th Century Fox’s and to be release in theaters on April 3rd 2009. Click here to enlarge image.

No Constantine Sequel For Keanu Reeves

March 25, 2008

Director Francis Lawrence has reported a few months back, that there might be a possible Constantine sequel depended on a favorable script. Unfortunately, actor Keanu Reeves has said no to the sequel. Reason being is that according to Reeves there are no characters that he has fantasized and has no ambition in returning back. I really hate the fact that when sometimes there is a sequel to a movie, the actor thinks otherwise. Anyways, if possible Constantine movie its obvious that Reeves will end up being replace.

Del Toro’s ‘Wolfman’

March 19, 2008

wolfman2.jpgwolfman1.jpg

It has been over 60 years since the Wolfman attack the box office, but will come back next year in a remake by Joe Johnston. Ew caught up with six time makeup artist Oscar winner Rick Baker for an exclusive first look at Del Toro’s Wolfman. Baker told Entertainment weekly, that he wanted to show respect to Lon Chaney by making his version of the Wolfman to look much like his and have a classic original look to it. This is what Baker told Ew about his version of the Wolfman:

“What’s interesting about those two pictures is that there’s one that he’s kind of facing forward and you see a little more of his body — that’s very much more of a classic Wolfman shot; it looks more like the Chaney version. The close-up one is a more frightening and dynamic version. Even though it’s the same makeup [as the first picture], he can do a lot more than Lon Chaney could do with the makeup. It’s cool that there’s something for the old-school guys, and the other picture is more for the guys who don’t even know what the Wolfman is but can see that picture and still go, ‘Oh, that’s cool!'”

Give us your opinion on how you think the Wolfman looks?
