Iron Man Will Not Release Early In U.S

March 12, 2008

Iron Man will be released in numerous international markets on April 30th, 2008 but will still be released in the U.S on May 2nd, 2008.  This stinks!  Now everyone will have to try and avoid spoilers for the movie.  If a movie comes out on a certain day, it should be released the same day everywhere else.  Originally, this is what Paramount Pictures International announced would happen at Showest.  Oh well, just got to be careful after April 30th.

New ‘Iron Man’ Trailer

February 29, 2008

The new trailer for John Favreau’s ‘Iron Man’ aired last night during ‘Lost’. The movie looks to have some entertaining scenes, they might have went a little overboard with jokes and one-liners. The cgi looks pretty good, although the last shot in the trailer that was shown on the superbowl still looks a little like a video game. Something that keeps it from feeling cinematic is the heavy metal music played throughout the trailer instead of an orchestrated score.

Sarah Jayne Dunn As Harley Quinn???

February 29, 2008

Harley Quinn
Although not confirmed, it is being reported that Sarah Jayne Dunn will paly the role of Harley Quinn, the Joker’s crazy love. The part of the character is listed on the actresses CV on her manager’s website. Harley Quinn’s appearance in the film was once denied by director Christopher Nolan when Sarah Michelle Gellar was rumoured for the part. Even if the rumour is true, it would probably be more of an introdution of the character rather than a story arc. Plus you have to wonder where the relationship will go due to Heath Ledger’s unfortunate death. We probably won’t know if it’s true until the film’s release, but keep you as informed as possible.

Director George Miller is continuing production in Australia considering that the film might move to Canada to save some money due to Australia tax rates. The cast will be Adam Brody (Flash), Common (Green Lantern), Megan Gale (Wonder Woman) and Armie Hammer (Batman) and still rumor are D.J Cotrona (Superman), Hugh Keays-Byrne (Martian Manhunter), and Teresa Palmer (Talia Al Ghul).
